- Apply to become a member of the Board of Directors. We are currently looking for an experienced legal consultant, a fundraiser who is familiar with government rules governing these events, a Governance person who is experienced with Not-for-profit charitable corporations, and someone experienced in researching and applying for Grants. VOLUNTEERING WITH CHILDREN OF PROMISE MINISTRIES (CHIPROM) NIGERIA
Children of Promise Ministries (Chiprom) Nigeria has benefited greatly from the impact of short term mission volunteers who have come from different cultures and nations including Germany, Holland, England, United States, Canada, South Africa and Ghana. We have found this to be very much a reciprocal endeavor for both our organization and for the volunteers themselves.
Each volunteer awakens in the hearts and lives of our children and staff the love, care and experiences they bring through sharing daily life together. In turn the hearts of the Volunteers are deeply affected by the obvious love and devotion between the children themselves and the staff. One of our recent Canadian volunteers captures this in his quote “In simple terms, we were in awe of what we witnessed and experienced”. Volunteers also grow in perspective and appreciation as they interact in a different land with distinct foods, culture, and climate.
Volunteer opportunities range from two weeks to a year, depending on the skill and area of expertise of each successful applicant and a profitable life changing experience is almost certainly guaranteed.
