CHIPROM'S 2007 Children's Annual Christmas Party - please click on thumbnails for larger view
Dec. 21, 2007 witnessed another historic event for Children of Promise Ministries when we hosted children from all walks of life to CHIPROM’S 2007 Children’s Christmas Party on the grounds of the Children’s home. The event was attended by children from many churches, families and from the neighbourhood. The highlight of the event was the arrival of the Father Christmas (Santa) from “Rome”. The children were surprised and excited at the arrival of the Santa with lots of gifts for the children. The children danced to music and were glad when they were told that they were going to be on the television.
The Commissioner for Social Services used the occasion to speak to the children and also delivered the Governor's message of investing money in the social services sector. Also in attendance are the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Social Services, Child Welfare and Social Welfare. Rev. Wojuola from Bodija/Ashi Baptist Church delivered the scripture message to the children.

Story - Compassion and Love knows no age
nor has no borders…Read the story of a brave young boy with
a heart full of love!!
Cannor Reif attends Harvest Bible Chapel in Barrie Ontario, Canada
with his parents. His action over the Christmas of 2005 surprised Children
of Promise Ministries when he donated the money ($60.00) meant for
his Christmas gift to kids at the orphanage. When the President of
CHIPROM spoke with Cannor, the intriguing thing about him is that he
does not feel he did anything fantastic. He just said he felt like
giving the cash to kids who are in need. Young Cannor has set a standard
for us to emulate by challenging us to think about those who are less
priviledged and those whose situation may never improve unless they receive intervention. We are hoping that young Cannor will someday
be able to visit with the children he supported.
